M+H Power and Advanced Power have rebadged into MPower in a move that consolidates its UPS and green solutions into the one company. Headed up by Paul Sharp as managing director, the new company is as much a public information exercise as it is a rebadging. Operating under Advanced Power, M+H Power, Leda, Ultimate, Powerblock, Bardic, Westpower, Nikko, Hushmate, Workmate and PowerHouse; the old entities that came from past takeovers and mergers and were often regarded singularly. The merging into the one identity has already worked sparking interest from companies unaware the scope and breadth of the old company. “We have since picked up jobs in the renewable energy areas when they became aware of our product range and experience,” Paul Sharp said. “Now our offerings of stored, emergency, generated and green power solutions are represented by a single identifiable brand.”

The Powerstar inc Smart-UPS Shipboard series includes a double-pole circuit breaker that will protect lines from overload and a double-pole power switch to insure the attached load is completely removed from the input power lines. These are necessary because a ship generates Delta power causing both power lines to be "hot".
